Education Overview

Advancing equity and child health research education is important to the Edwin S.H. Leong Centre for Healthy Children. The Centre’s approach to education includes two speaker series featuring leading child health experts, trainee workshops for community-engaged research, and online resources for individuals who are interested in learning more about child health equity and outcomes research.

Monthly lecture series with leading child health experts.
Virtual 1-hour sessions that focus on best practices for community engagement.
Members engage in an exchange of ideas with community partners and researchers about the foundations, ethical dimensions, and planning for community-engaged research.
Virtual 1-hour sessions hosted in partnership with Statistics Canada exploring ways to support deeper use of the extensive national cross-sectoral data relevant to child health and well-being.
A collection of online resources that enhances knowledge in child health equity and outcomes research.
