TITLE: Think Like a Knowledge Broker: Learn From 3 Real-Life Examples of Co-Design

DESCRIPTION:

Knowledge translation is often talked about in abstract terms, but what does it really look like in practice? In this session, the presenters will step outside of traditional academia and explore what it means to work collaboratively with different interest holders to design knowledge products that are relevant, engaging and useful. Drawing on three case examples, they will explore lessons from using co-design and knowledge translation throughout the engagement process. You will also learn what it means to think like a knowledge broker and how collaboration can help turn knowledge into something people can use.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Explore what knowledge translation can look like outside traditional academic approaches.
  • Learn three key knowledge translation insights based on real examples of co-design.
  • Leave with guiding principles about co-design that can be applied to your own work.
